Visitor Policies

This document sets expectations for behaviour at the Gaelic Museum and for services we reference. Walking into the museum or using the site counts as agreement; we refresh the wording each year.

Code of Conduct

Show respect for collections, team members, and other guests. Basics include:

Anyone breaching the code may be asked to leave without compensation.

Ticketing and Cancellations

Advance booking
Recommended for all visits; essential for guided tours, workshops, and group bookings.
Cancellation (more than 48 hours before visit)
Full refund available. Contact the museum directly to process.
Cancellation (within 48 hours of visit)
Non-refundable. Tickets may be rescheduled to a future date subject to availability.
Group cancellation
14 days' notice required for a full refund. Cancellations within 14 days may incur a charge.
No-show
Tickets are non-refundable for no-shows. No rescheduling is available.
Museum closure
In the event of an unexpected closure, all pre-booked tickets will be refunded or rescheduled.

Inclusive design spans step-free paths, large-print guides, described tours, quieter morning slots, and assistance animals. For tailored help, email the museum at least two days ahead.

Group Visit Policy

Complaints Policy

Written complaints get an acknowledgement within two working days and a fuller answer within ten. Write via email or the contact form; if still unhappy, Ireland’s CCPC or UK Citizens Advice can advise next steps.
